- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 carrot, shredded
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 head of lettuce (butter or iceberg), leaves separated
- Optional toppings: chopped peanuts, cilantro, lime wedges
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Stir in diced bell pepper, shredded carrot, and chopped green onions; cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Mix in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil; stir well to combine.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- To serve, spoon the turkey mixture into lettuce leaves and top with optional toppings if desired.
