  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 head of lettuce (butter or iceberg), leaves separated
  • Optional toppings: chopped peanuts, cilantro, lime wedges

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  4. Stir in diced bell pepper, shredded carrot, and chopped green onions; cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Mix in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil; stir well to combine.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  7. To serve, spoon the turkey mixture into lettuce leaves and top with optional toppings if desired.
