  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange food coloring
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the orange food coloring and mix until well blended.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then dollop the cream cheese mixture on top. Swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer and swirl again if desired.
  9. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if using.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
