Description

A comforting and hearty dish made with layers of ham, potatoes, and creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced potatoes
  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the diced potatoes, diced ham, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
  4. Layer half of the potato and ham mixture in a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the soup mixture over the first layer.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add more milk to the soup mixture.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like peas or corn for extra flavor.
  • This casserole can be made ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
