Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup beet juice (for coloring)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil together until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the beet juice, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into heart-shaped silicone molds.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until set.
  5. Once set, gently remove the chocolate hearts from the molds and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness to your preference.
  • These can be made vegan by using maple syrup instead of honey.
