Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.

  7. Make a small indentation in the center of each ball using your thumb.
  8. Fill each indentation with a teaspoon of fruit jam.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
