Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup fruit jam (your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies and place them on a baking sheet.
- Use a smaller heart-shaped cutter to cut out the center of half of the cookies.
- Spread a teaspoon of fruit jam on the whole cookies, then place the cut-out cookies on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to use any flavor of jam you prefer.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
- These cookies can be decorated with powdered sugar for an extra touch.
