A delicious and healthy recipe idea for homemade salmon patties with Mediterranean flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (14.75 oz) salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, parsley, red onion, bell pepper, garlic, beaten egg, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined and form the mixture into patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  5. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm with a side of yogurt sauce or salad.

Notes

  • These patties can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
  • They can also be frozen for later use.
