Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- Combine flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Slowly stir in boiling water until well combined (the batter will be thin).
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Mix brown sugar and cocoa powder together in a separate bowl and sprinkle it evenly over the batter.
- Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the entire dish (do not stir).
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the cake has risen and the fudge sauce is bubbling around the edges.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving with vanilla ice cream.
