Description

A rich and creamy chicken dish infused with the flavors of Irish whiskey.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Irish whiskey
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until softened.
  5. Pour in the Irish whiskey, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and let it cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

  • For a richer flavor, let the sauce simmer longer.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or over pasta for a complete meal.
