Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the ground cinnamon and chopped pecans, if using.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- While the cookies are baking, prepare the icing by whisking together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Once the cookies are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling the icing over the top.
