Description

A delicious and fun appetizer that combines the flavors of jalapeño poppers with crispy onion rings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot.
  2. Slice the onions into thick rings and separate them.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each onion ring with the cheese mixture.
  5. Dip the stuffed onion rings in flour, then in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Fry the onion rings until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
