A delicious and easy recipe for pulled beef using a slow cooker, inspired by the Pioneer Woman.
Ingredients

- 3–4 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, sear the roast on all sides until browned.
- Place the chopped onion and minced garlic in the slow cooker.
- Add the seared roast on top of the onions and garlic.
- In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and smoked paprika.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the roast in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
- Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the sauce.
- Serve on buns or with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the beef marinate in the sauce overnight before cooking.
- Adjust the barbecue sauce to your taste preference.
- This recipe can be doubled for larger gatherings.
