Description

A delicious and easy recipe for pulled beef using a slow cooker, inspired by the Pioneer Woman.


Ingredients

  • 34 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, sear the roast on all sides until browned.
  3. Place the chopped onion and minced garlic in the slow cooker.
  4. Add the seared roast on top of the onions and garlic.
  5. In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and smoked paprika.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the roast in the slow cooker.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
  8. Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the sauce.
  9. Serve on buns or with your favorite sides.

  • For extra flavor, let the beef marinate in the sauce overnight before cooking.
