- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- Zest of 2 limes
- 4 large egg yolks
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)
- Lime slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a bowl.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch pan to form the crust.
- Whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, fresh lime juice, lime zest, and egg yolks in another bowl until well combined.
- Pour the lime filling over the crust in the pan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the filling is set.
- Allow to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Cut into bars and top with whipped cream and lime slices if desired.
Notes
Use fresh limes for the best flavor. Refrigerate the crust before adding filling for extra sturdiness.
