Kunafa Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Description

A delightful fusion of crispy kunafa and sweet chocolate-covered strawberries.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g kunafa pastry
  • 100g unsalted butter, melted
  • 200g strawberries, washed and dried
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Chopped nuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the kunafa pastry with melted butter until well coated.
  3. Spread the kunafa mixture evenly on a baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. While the kunafa is baking, melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together in a microwave or double boiler.
  5. Once the kunafa is done, let it cool slightly, then break it into small pieces.
  6. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  7. Roll the chocolate-covered strawberries in the kunafa pieces until fully coated.
  8. Place the coated strawberries on a parchment-lined tray and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
  9. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
  10. Serve chilled and enjoy!
