Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh figs, chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, mix the flour and salt, then gradually add to the cream cheese mixture.
- Fold in the chopped figs gently.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until set and lightly golden on top.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
