Description

A moist and zesty twist on a classic dessert that combines the refreshing flavors of lime with a creamy filling, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 packet lime gelatin
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Lime slices for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  5. Poke holes all over the cake using a fork once cooled.
  6. Mix the lime gelatin, sweetened condensed milk, and lime juice in a separate bowl until well combined.
  7. Pour the gelatin mixture over the cake, making sure to fill the holes.
  8. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes.
  9. Top with whipped cream and garnish with lime slices before serving.
