- 1 can (14.75 oz) of salmon, drained
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the drained salmon, breadcrumbs, parsley, onion, red bell pepper, garlic, beaten egg, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined and form the mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or salad.
Notes
- For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
- These patties can be baked in the oven at 375°F for 20 minutes for a healthier option.
