Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the fresh cranberries and nuts if using.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
