- 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- Peanut butter for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Mix the melted butter and sugars in a large bowl until well combined.
- Stir in the egg, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add baking soda and salt, then stir in the flour until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool before cutting into squares. Drizzle with peanut butter if desired.
Notes
Use overripe bananas for the best flavor; be careful not to overmix the batter.
