A delicious fusion of a classic patty melt and pizza, perfect for a unique meal.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 4 slices of rye bread
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the sliced onions to the skillet and cook until they are caramelized.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.
- On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer the cooked beef, onions, and cheddar cheese.
- Top with the other two slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet and cut in half. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add jalapeños to the filling.
- Feel free to use different types of cheese for variation.
