Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add butter and toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  3. On two slices of toasted bread, layer the cooked beef, caramelized onions, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Top with the remaining slices of bread to form sandwiches.
  5. Return the sandwiches to the skillet and cook until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown on both sides.
  6. Slice in half and serve warm.
