- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 slices of rye bread
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Cook until caramelized.
- In a separate bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into patties.
- Cook the patties in the skillet until browned and cooked through.
- Assemble the melts by placing a patty on a slice of rye bread, topping with caramelized onions and a slice of Swiss cheese.
- Spread secret sauce on another slice of rye bread and place it on top to complete the sandwich.
- Grill the sandwich in the skillet with the remaining butter until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
