Description

A delightful twist on classic French toast, this Peach French Toast Casserole combines creamy cheese and sweet peaches for a perfect summer breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices of French bread, cubed
  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Butter (for greasing the dish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Beat together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Layer half of the cubed bread in the greased dish.
  4. Spread the softened cream cheese over the bread and top with sliced peaches.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the peaches and remaining bread cubes. Press slightly to ensure bread is soaked.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  7. Remove from the refrigerator and let sit for 30 minutes when ready to bake.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until golden and set.
  9. Serve warm, optionally drizzled with syrup or powdered sugar.
