Description

A creamy and indulgent side dish featuring layers of sliced potatoes, sour cream, melted cheese, and a crunchy breadcrumb topping.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the sliced potatoes, sour cream, cheese, green onions, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Pour the potato mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Mix the breadcrumbs with the melted butter in a small bowl and sprinkle over the top of the potatoes.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.

Notes

For best results, use Yukon Gold potatoes. You can personalize the dish by adding cooked vegetables or using different cheese varieties.
