Description

A festive and delicious fall party snack that combines the flavors of pumpkin and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crackers or veggies for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and pumpkin puree.
  2. Add the chopped green onions, chopped pecans, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  4. Once chilled, remove the cheese ball from the wrap and roll it in additional chopped pecans if desired.
  5. Serve with crackers or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some cayenne pepper to the mixture.
  • This cheese ball can be made a day in advance for convenience.
