Ingredients

- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 cup dried fruits (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring until it reaches the hard ball stage (around 250°F).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- If using, fold in chopped nuts and dried fruits.
- Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet and let it cool.
- Once cooled, break into pieces and enjoy your Ragtag Candies!
