- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Wash and dry the apples thoroughly, then insert a wooden stick into the top of each apple.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring until it reaches the hard crack stage (300°F or 150°C).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Divide the candy mixture into separate bowls and add food coloring to each bowl to create different colors.
- Dip each apple into the colored candy mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
- Place the dipped apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool and harden.
- If desired, sprinkle with additional sprinkles before the candy sets.
