Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually mix in flour and salt until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread fresh raspberries on top.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  8. Place the slices in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter roll, add a glaze made of powdered sugar and milk on top.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
