Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for raspberries)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
- Mash the raspberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar in a small bowl to create a raspberry puree.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spoon half of the raspberry puree on top and swirl with a knife. Repeat with the remaining batter and puree.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow cooling before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Use fresh, ripe raspberries for the best flavor and avoid overmixing the batter for a lighter texture.
