Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for raspberries)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
  3. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
  4. Mash the raspberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar in a small bowl to create a raspberry puree.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spoon half of the raspberry puree on top and swirl with a knife. Repeat with the remaining batter and puree.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow cooling before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe raspberries for the best flavor and avoid overmixing the batter for a lighter texture.
