Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, vanilla extract, and red food coloring.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before rolling it up in the parchment paper.
- While the cake cools, prepare the cream cheese frosting by mixing the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Unroll the cooled cake, spread the frosting evenly, and then roll it back up carefully.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
