Description

A quick and easy red velvet mug cake recipe that satisfies your sweet cravings in just 5 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon red food coloring
  • A pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, combine 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and 1/8 teaspoon of baking powder to the mug.
  3. Stir the dry ingredients well until they’re fully combined.
  4. Pour in 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  5. Add 3 tablespoons of buttermilk and 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the mug.
  6. Mix all the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until smooth.
  7. Add 1 teaspoon of red food coloring.
  8. Stir everything together until you achieve a beautiful, deep red color.
  9. Microwave the mug on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  10. Check if it’s fully cooked; if not, continue microwaving in 10-15 second bursts until done.
  11. Let it cool for a minute before enjoying.
