Instructions
- In a microwave-safe mug, combine 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar.
- Add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and 1/8 teaspoon of baking powder to the mug.
- Stir the dry ingredients well until they’re fully combined.
- Pour in 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Add 3 tablespoons of buttermilk and 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the mug.
- Mix all the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until smooth.
- Add 1 teaspoon of red food coloring.
- Stir everything together until you achieve a beautiful, deep red color.
- Microwave the mug on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
- Check if it’s fully cooked; if not, continue microwaving in 10-15 second bursts until done.
- Let it cool for a minute before enjoying.
