  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Trim the broccoli head and slice it into thick steaks, about 1 inch wide.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the broccoli steaks with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Arrange the broccoli steaks on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until charred and tender.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding lemon juice or parmesan cheese before serving.
  • Broccoli stems can also be roasted; just slice them into smaller pieces.
