- 1 cup of caramelized onions
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 1 cup of Gruyère cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme
- 1 baguette, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the caramelized onions.
- Stir in the beef broth and thyme, and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 5 minutes.
- Remove the toasted baguette slices and top each with the onion mixture and shredded Gruyère cheese.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Season with salt and pepper before serving.
