- 1 lb flank steak
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
- Marinate the flank steak in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Grill or pan-sear the steak over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
- In the same pan, stir-fry the broccoli and carrots until tender.
- Serve the sliced steak over cooked rice, topped with stir-fried vegetables and green onions.
- Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Feel free to substitute the vegetables with your favorites.
