- 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the diced potatoes, sour cream, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
