A hearty and flavorful casserole that combines the classic taste of Sloppy Joes with a comforting baked dish.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and green bell pepper over medium heat until the meat is browned and the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Open the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. Arrange the biscuit pieces over the beef mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add additional vegetables like mushrooms or corn for extra flavor.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
