Description

A hearty and flavorful casserole that combines the classic taste of Sloppy Joes with a comforting baked dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and green bell pepper over medium heat until the meat is browned and the vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer the beef mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Open the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. Arrange the biscuit pieces over the beef mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
