Ingredients

  • 5 chicken thighs, skin on, bone-in
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed

Instructions

  1. Add the chicken, salt, pepper, and garlic to the slow cooker. Optionally, brown the chicken skin-side down in a pan with about 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
  2. Mix the ingredients and flip the chicken skin side up. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top.
  3. Cook on low for 480 minutes (8 hours) or on high for 240 minutes (4 hours).
  4. Optionally, serve with fresh chopped parsley on top.
