Description

A delicious and easy recipe for slow cooker tomato basil chicken breast, perfect for a spring dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the diced tomatoes, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper on top of the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the heavy cream and chopped basil.
  5. Serve warm over rice or pasta.
