- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper, until browned.
- Remove the beef and set aside. In the same skillet, pour batter to form pancakes.
- Once bubbles form on the surface, place a small amount of cooked beef and cheese on top of each pancake.
- Flip the pancakes and cook until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Serve pancakes stacked with optional toppings.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with a plant-based meat alternative.
- Adjust the thickness of the pancakes by adding more or less milk.
- These pancakes can be made ahead and reheated for a quick breakfast.
