  • 1 pound steak (cubed)
  • 1 can kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 bell pepper (diced)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (with juices)
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the cubed steak and sear until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add onions, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in tomatoes, beans, beef broth, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, and the seared steak.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot in bowls, garnished with your favorite toppings such as cheese, sour cream, or jalapeños.
