Description

Delicious mini chocolate pies perfect for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.


Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and cut into small circles to fit into a mini muffin tin.
  3. Press the pie crust circles into the muffin tin and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
  4. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it begins to simmer.
  5. Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Add green food coloring if desired.
  7. Pour the chocolate mixture into the baked pie crusts and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
  8. Top with whipped cream before serving.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, use shamrock-shaped cookie cutters for the pie crust.
  • These pies can be made a day in advance.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
