Description
A delightful dessert combining the sweetness of strawberries with a rich chocolate shell.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 chocolate cake, baked and cooled
Instructions
- Macerate the strawberries by mixing them with sugar and letting them sit for about 30 minutes.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer.
- Remove from heat and add the chopped dark chocolate, stirring until smooth.
- Place the cooled chocolate cake on a serving plate.
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
- Top the cake with the macerated strawberries.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes
- For a more intense chocolate flavor, use bittersweet chocolate.
- Make sure the cake is completely cooled before adding the ganache.
- This cake can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
