Description

A sweet and easy recipe for delicious heart-shaped danishes filled with strawberry and cream cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart shape.
  5. Add a few pieces of chopped strawberries on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Fold the edges of the heart over the filling and seal them with a fork.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.
