A delicious and easy dessert recipe featuring a buttery crumble and fresh strawberries.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the mixture and stir until combined.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the chopped strawberries with lemon juice and spread them over the crust.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture over the strawberries.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a twist, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the crumble mixture.
- These bars can be served warm or chilled.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
