Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×9 inch baking pan.
  5. Spread the chopped strawberries evenly over the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture on top of the strawberries.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

  • Can substitute strawberries with other fruits like blueberries or raspberries.
