- 1 pound fresh broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the broccoli mixture on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender and slightly crispy.
- If using, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the broccoli during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm.
Notes
- For a vegan option, omit the Parmesan cheese.
- You can add lemon zest for extra flavor.
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and reheated before serving.
