- 1 cup ube halaya (purple yam jam)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the ube halaya and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Pour the caramel sauce into the bottom of a cake pan.
- Pour the ube batter over the caramel sauce.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool before inverting onto a serving plate.
