Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the onion, celery, carrots, and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, sautéed vegetables, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and mix until the bread is evenly moistened.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Feel free to add nuts or dried fruits for extra flavor.
- This stuffing can be made a day in advance and reheated before serving.
