Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the wholemeal flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, applesauce, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the sliced pears gently.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
