Description

Deliciously crispy mini blooming onions made in the air fryer, perfect for snacks or party appetizers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 mini onions
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel the mini onions and cut the tops off, making a small cross at the bottom of each onion.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dip each onion in the flour mixture, then in buttermilk, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Spray the onions with cooking spray and place them in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
